CHAPTER THIRTEEN
Abby
Once I let Slade know Iâm sure Tasha is okay after I know sheâs seen my message, he seems to shift his attention to other pressing matters.
I try to tell him, but he has a certain effect on me that leaves me speechless as well as helpless when he touches me.
Especially once those huge hands of his migrate south, thawing out the once permanent winter of my valley with a single stroke.
My mind is in a state of shock that matches the volcanic heat building in my core. And Iâm running on autopilot as I slip out of the simple pajamas I have on so Slade can see, touch and taste all of me.
Anyone else, Iâd die at the idea of them seeing me naked. But with Slade, I trust him more than I trust myself.
I know he would never say or do anything to hurt me, and his huge body, as hard as it is, has a softness to it.
A delicate side that I guess every artist has, and with Slade, he has a very delicate touch. Both with his hands as well as his mouth.
But heâs also firm and commanding when it suits him so in no time at all Iâm a moaning mass of twisting, bubbling energy under his spell.
Yearning for more.
I really should tell him.
But wouldnât he have guessed by now?
Itâs only after heâs brought me to and then way beyond the point of the most incredible climax ever that I realize I donât just have to tell him for the obvious reasons.
I have to tell him because heâs the master of his craft as well.
Nobody and I mean nobody could do what he just did.
I know it.
Iâm still gasping, shivering, and trembling with aftershocks when Slade asks me if Iâm okay.
Okay? Iâm better than okay.
But I can only gasp, nod, and reach for his face as he slides up my body, tasting myself on his lips.
I wouldâve been grossed out a day or so ago, but with Slade everything is different. Everything just works, and thereâs no need for words most of the time.
But I really do have to tell him, even for my own sake.
âSlade, Iâ¦â
âWhat is it?â he asks, looking concerned as he shifts me like a rag doll so my body is closer to his.
Keeping me warm as well as supporting me.
âIâve never done that before,â I finally manage to get out, figuring the truth doesnât have to be a whole long winded speech.
âNever had someone go down on you?â he asks, cocking a brow.
Triumphant. Pleased.
âNever had someone do anything,â I murmur, suddenly feeling stupid, like the little girl I keep telling myself Iâm not anymore just because Iâm nineteen.
âNot even to myself,â I add. âNot like that anywayâ¦â
Slade goes quiet for a long moment.
I figure this must be the part where he sighs and makes up a reason to leave, making me promise to keep this to myself.
I wait for it. Wait for his warm grip on me to shift. Dread the moment I have to watch his perfect face, his powerful body stand up and leave me.
